Speed up data transfer rate

Mon Mar 27, 2006 7:01 pm

We have used BlueTools ObexPush samples and changed them a little bit. The data transfer rate is 5KB/secs instead of 20KB/secs that is supposed to be. We are using widcomm stack, on a PDA with 400 MHz processor. The examples are also slow and we have tried the code on different hardware platforms but the problem still remains.

What can we do to speed up the data transfer rate?

Best regards,

Supposed to be 20 kb/s? Where do you get this number?

The ObexObjectPush component does not introduce any other overhead than what is required by the Obex specification. In Obex there IS overhead though and packets must be received, parsed and acknowledged. This can very likely cause a lower transfer speed than the Bluetooth stack in theory can achieve.

I have on the other hand used BlueTools and ObexObjectPush to transfer mp3s and other large files to both my PDA and my cell phone with vastly faster transfer speed (>50kb/s) so I think the problem must lie elsewhere...
