Using brackets [ ] in a command template

Tue Dec 04, 2018 11:36 pm

The command I'm trying to implement is this:

Code: Select all

[begin]sms2,*status*,[end]
[begin] and [end] are literals and not variables. How should I include them in the template?

In the terminal window, I successfully used ASCII codes like this:

Code: Select all

[0x5B]begin[0x5D]sms2,*status*,[0x5B]end[0x5D]
But it does not seem to work as a command template

What does the Terminal data look like when you send that Template Command?

Terminal excerpt showing 2 messages sent. One device response causes a parsing error but this issue has been reported to support.
