How to add a vehicle and how to add a device to a vehicle.

6. Select Device Type to "GlobalSat ...".
7. Fill in the IMEI of the tracker.

Configure tracker

Configure tracker to send data to port 5002 over UDP or TCP
For HTTP the URL is "http://yourserver:8008/GlobalSat2/"

Configure your device to send data to your servers public IP. You find the public IP in SiteAdmin under Devices.

Troubleshooting

If you have your own server, please read this for trouble shooting:
http://franson.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=10315

To monitor data communication between tracker and server you can use the "Terminal". More info here:
http://franson.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=10740

If you can see data coming in from the GPS tracker in the Terminal, but you still don't get a position on the map, you can send the output from the Terminal to use together with information about your GPS tracker and we will take a look at it. Send it to "support at gpsgate . com"

Custom commands

Use "Template Commands" to add commands not yet implemented in GpsGate Server. This is simple. More info here:
http://franson.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=10220

The driver will add the checksum. A Template Command to set GPRS and server parameters will for example look like this:

Code: Select all

GSS,[DeviceImei],3,1,D1=[GprsApn],D2=[GprsUsername],D3=[GprsPassword],D8=02,E0=[ProtocolIPAddress],E1=[ProtocolPortTcp]!
