On a Surface Pro 4 (Windows 10) I am trying to create a virtual com port as output from GPSGate Splitter. The status always shows 1 client connected even though I have no software clients running. Once I start a client, the software sees the com port, but access is denied. I have turned off secure boot in the UEFI and still no luck. As a test I implemented the same scenario on a Windows 10 laptop and it works as expected. Has anyone seen this issue on the Surface Pro? Is this a hardware limitation?
Thank you
