Speeding event report

Wed Feb 06, 2013 7:28 am

I want to have an automated report for any speeding events.
I used EV1002 because it grouped the device's speeding events

But the report's data came out with this
Event start Event end Distance Avg Speed Driving Idle Total
1/02/2013 3:57 PM 1/02/2013 4:03 PM 14 km 130.7 km/h 386 100 % 00:00:00 0.0 % 00:06:26

From this dataset
1/02/2013 3:57:05 PM 113.0 0.0
1/02/2013 3:58:05 PM 120.0 0.0
1/02/2013 3:59:05 PM 115.0 0.0
1/02/2013 3:59:34 PM 114.0 0.0
1/02/2013 4:00:34 PM 112.0 0.0
1/02/2013 4:01:34 PM 114.0 0.0
1/02/2013 4:02:31 PM 113.0 0.0

The average should be around 115km/h not 130km/h

EV1000 works fine and shows 115km/h.

The average speed in the first line is during the whole event.

The speed in the tables, is the first speed that broke the speed limit.

Isn't the dataset(table) the data from the whole speeding event? That list of data showing up in Track Points when you click on the speeding event in the report. The driver never went 130.
On some other reports I've seen the average go up to 170km/h which the vehicle in question was not possible of doing these speeds.

I have been trying to set up a speeding report based on an Event Rule for vehicles exceeding >80kmh

I look at EV1000 and EV1002 and note that both reports do not have the ability or "Insert Field" to show the actual speed which triggered the event.

Any suggestions please!

Some help in this would be appreciated..........

I have managed to insert MaxSpeed in the Data provider but I have a String error. However, I can now forsee problems where it would not grab max speed but continually grab continious speeds above 80kph.

Any ideas on how this report can be generated?

The EV1000 I setup ended up being enough, with start, duration, vehicle, start/end address and in the Argument field on the report it shows the Event Application notification which I had set as

Code: Select all

[USER_NAME] speeding [SIGNAL_SPEED] for [EVENT_DURATION]
Time: [EVENT_TIME]
Address: [POS_ADDRESS]

Hope it helps.

Thanks mate. I had done the same thing with SIGNAL_SPEED only. I was trying to get something out of it which is impossible unless I go directly into my devices.

Customer is happy!
