Directions plugin updated.(02.02.2014)

You have the ability to save the displayed route.
The saved route can be used in Event rules.

At step 4 (Expressions), select "Http Expression" and enter

http://localhost/services/rm.ashx?ROUTE=<font color="red">test_route</font id="red">&DISTANCE=<font color="red">50</font id="red">&APP_ID=<font color="red">5</font id="red">

Where:
test_route = the saved route name
50 = allowed deviation in meters
5 = current application id

Optionally you can get the real distance from route in meters in alerts using the "Http_Route_Dist" variable.
Just click on Advanced under the Http Expression setup and check the Support notifiers checkbox.

Note:

Google Maps is needed only for saving the routes!
Tested with MySQL database only !!!!!!

Hi Gabriel,

This is great feature.
I suggest to have a field for input speed to calculate base on road condition.

Thanks
Regards

@piter197 i will, but not while the plugin is in BETA
@limyo
the duration is provided by Google Directions.
if you want my opinion, i don't think anyone in this world can calculate the accurate duration of a trip, at least not in my city/country (Romania, the only country in Europe without a highway, that means we are special..? :D)
still.. i can add a "Speed" field to get the duration based on that value.

Thanks

Hi,
Rewrite directionsStart method line 241.
Change setIntervall to setTimeout.
The method is causing an uncontrolled recursion like call pattern if the directions never gets ready and crash the browser.
It is also a problem if the directions isn't ready after the first try since you will overwrite the setIntervall handler and it will never be canceled.

Note, setIntervall will repeat it self, setTimeout will only repeat once.

Very nice. Well done.

Is the "total duration" based on current traffic conditions as calculated by Google directions, or is it a simple speed and distance calculation?

I love the costs calculation. How about a new plugin that would make the same calculations based on a displayed track, so we can see what a trip cost.

Thanks..
"Total duration" based on Google Directions.
"Custom duration" based on "Custom speed".

Dear,

Amazing. Very good.
But I'm having a little problem to retrieve saved routes.
They disappear. I have to save another return to the old.

Congratulations
