Thu Feb 14, 2008 11:58 am

is there anything prepared about using diffrent languages ?
would it (just in theory) be possible to just copy the VehicleTracker.aspx to another name and execute ?
to hardcode the other language ?

like use VehicleTracker_fr.aspx ?

In fact there is. If you send the .lang file to us, and permit free distribution, we'll post it to the download page here:
http://franson.com/gpsgateserver/download.asp?platform=

Send the lang file to support at franson . com

oh ... allright .. well give me a while i still do proovereading (in thai are many words really diffrent)

another suggestion: the encoding of the page (charset) should be in the langage file as well ..
(okay unicode is fine but some browsers do mess arround with non-ascii characters sometimes)

Ok, sounds like a good idea. Please note that the .lang file should be in UTF-8 (and not Unicode)

besides the charset ... there is another important thing.

the language itself should be in 2 digits format avaiable in the languagefiles.

specialy for the google maps .. as they show in the language google "thinks" they best ...
but this should be controlled by the languagesetting .. (does not make sense have language control .. but the major part of it control it by itself)

by adding in the language into the maprequest (where the key delivered too) &hl=en its controls the language settings of the google language

specialy here in thailand .. where the maps in english and thai are avaiable .. and they just not readable at all if you cant read thai ;)

here example:
english: http://maps.google.com/staticmap?center=13.7618866666667,100.471445&zoom=14&size=500x350&hl=en&key=ABQIAAAAxr0j5jdqofH1s6e9s6G-ghSr8iJIxt88nsXJU3JvhQkWh1pQjRT1zLRDjlq4bwT9XobREzFn3d63Kw

thai: http://maps.google.com/staticmap?center=13.7618866666667,100.471445&zoom=14&size=500x350&hl=th&key=ABQIAAAAxr0j5jdqofH1s6e9s6G-ghSr8iJIxt88nsXJU3JvhQkWh1pQjRT1zLRDjlq4bwT9XobREzFn3d63Kw
