JSON instead of SOAP

Fri Jun 09, 2017 5:37 pm

Hi all

New to this forum so hello.
We are currently evaluating GpsGate and are quite impressed so far but the next major test will be seeing if we can integrate our existing systems into it. Not as easy as I had hoped.

I have tried the 'simple' SOAP test and cannot get anything to work; personally I dislike SOAP anyway so no loss...
I have read that JSON is supported via the API which I would much prefer but I cannot find any documentation on it.

Anyone got a link please?

Thanks in advance.

Bump, anyone? Could be make or break if we cannot integrate it is no use to us!
Thanks

I agree that the SOAP interface is a bit painfull - but doable.

what info are you looking for / trying to read?

I just read somewhere that JSON could be used which is what I use pretty much everywhere else so I am a lot more familiar with it.
I cannot find any documentation for JSON though; I am persevering with SOAP and getting there... just a lot slower than I would have liked.

Thanks anyway, guess I will carry on using SOAP now as I have bots working.

Cheers
