Efficient way to Count Number of trips in close proximity operations

Tue May 30, 2017 11:13 am

What is the most efficient and accurate way of trip counting in mining where vehicles work under close proximity ?

We are trying to build a solution for our customer for counting number of trips by a tipper ? There are approx 50+ tippers served by about 10 excavators. Each tipper goes to an excavator to get loaded. As soon as it is loaded with material, it leaves for unloading point and after unloading, it returns back to any of the 10 tipper. Location of excavators keep changing everyday so there's no fix permanent location of excavators, It keeps changing almost daily basis. Unloading point is also not fixed, It also keeps changing.

Trip = Number of times tipper has traveled from Loading point to Unloading point.

Can anyone suggest a way to count number of trips executed by each tipper ?

Some tips:

Do you have an input from the device that can detect loading and/or tipping. If you have you can count the input to count trips.

Script Expressions is the way to go for more advanced expressions. You write a script that detects of the truck is still and/or has relevant inputs active.

Track Filters Change Track Filters. Use different track filters for city vehicles, and long distance vehicles.

Is there a way to create two mutually exclusive tags and check if and how much closer vehicle from other tags are getting ?
