Problems with installing GpsLibCE.arm.cab

Fri Oct 27, 2006 9:18 am

We are developing a GPS application on Windows CE 4.2 using .NET CF version 2.0 SP1. The problem when I tried to install GpsLibCE.arm.cab in the target device, it throws an error that :

"The application cannot run on this device type. Please install the application specific to this device type."

I used the GpsLibCE.arm.cab file from the following directory :
<install dir>Franson\GpsTools SDK v2.3\dotNetcf\wince300\arm

The Windows CE 4.2 device utilizes the Intel XScale PXA255 400Mhz RISC processor.

Try copying the GpsLibCE.dll file manually to the application or \Windows directory.
