Map background colour bug/problem

Fri Mar 26, 2010 9:52 pm

I'm using GpsTools 2.30 in VB6 and have a curious problem with background colour on my maps. I can set a background colour/brush and apply it to a map OK, but the colour only gets applied if the chart is zoomed to 1:1 and not rotated (rotation=0). Otherwise the background (the area outside my map raster) is displayed as solid white regardless of the colour I set for background.

If I set the zoom to anything other than 1 (eg 0.5 since I usually display the map at less than 1:1), or the rotation to anything other than 0, and pan the map so that the map raster is outside the map view area and I am only seeing background, then the background colour is applied correctly. As soon as any part of the raster is visible, any visible background reverts to solid white instead of my chosen colour.

Is this a known issue, and can anyone suggest a workaround? I can't find any reference to it on the forum/KB.
