convert excel file in DMS

Not sure what format you want to convert your data to based on your post but my recommendation would be to do an Excel "search & replace" function to replace any "N"s and "E"s with "" and replace any "S"s and "W"s with "-" to get the correct signs on the lat/long data. Then you could use the Separator Example Coordinate format as a starting point for a new input format and use spaces as the separators between the degrees, minutes, and seconds.
