I need to be able to convert/project from WGS84 to Cape Lo31. Is this available/supported?

So, I'm assuming the South Africa - Cape is the Lo31? Positionally it look good, but I get this alert when I display converted shape files with original Lo31 shape files: 'GPS Tools Custom Datum' as the geographic coordinate system of the converted file. Can I change the name in the PRJ file and avoid this problem and is that the proper way of addressing this?

Are you using CoordTrans or GpsTools?

Can you not set the projections when you go through the conversion Wizard?

wizard works fine. The 'problem' appears when bringing into arcview with another shape file already in Lo31. It is a name conflict in the prj files. if I change the new PRJ file naming to match the Lo31 PRJ file problem goes away.

Is there anyway to change it in the CoordTrans program to eliminate having to edit the PRJ files in notepad?
