T8124G - Possible Kingneed?

Sat Mar 24, 2018 2:51 am

It looks like the following: https://www.atshine.com/t8124bmg-5in1-gps-tracker.html
And here is the manual: http://www.vjoychina.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/10/T8124G-3G-Car-GPS-Tracker-USER-MANUAL.pdf

What I don't see if a command for chaning the ip of the service it uses, it seems to be set to some miitown.com site.

I found a page in google that says:
The Kingneed T8124 is a cheap (US$40), simple tracker (2-wire) that works with Traccar. http://amzn.com/B01449X1BW. You have to configure it to a different server, using an unpublished command "setip0000000000005002*. Just change the "000"s to the correct IP address. The "5002" is the port number ...

But I got no response for doing this.

Any help? I'm coming from a gps103 device - but having to move because the provider I use has turned of 2g.

I think I found it. *setip*123*123*123*123*9999*
where 999 is the port, and 123 are teh 4 parts of the ip address.

A follow on question, how can I put this into an sms command ie *setip*[ProtocolIPAddress]*[ProtocolPortTcp]* - but obviously the protocolipaddress will have to be reformated from 123.123.123.123 to 123*123*123*123 can this be done?
