Teltonika FM1202 - iButton Issue with Device Mapper

Tue Oct 04, 2016 8:54 pm

I'm trying to setup GGS with Teltonika FM1202 with a 1-wire iButton (DS1990A+F5) supplied by Teltonika.

I'm interested in using the Authorized Driver option, so that the vehicle will remain off until an authorized driver logs in with their individual iButton. I would like for GGS to report the driver name as soon as the driver logs in. I have succesfully set this up with a Meitrack MVT600 and their RFID reader, but can not get the FM1202 to work.

1) I used this tutorial to connect the FM1202 to GGS : viewtopic.php?t=7142
2) Did the whole iButton prcedure and created Drivers: http://gpsgate.com/video_viewer/ibutton
3) Created a new instance of the device in the Administration Site/Devices/Types.
4) In the GGS Application/Device Mapper, I mapped the following:
AnalogInput1 = Fuel Level
DigitalInput2 = Input2
DigitalOutput2 = PowerCut
iButton = iButton
iButton_Connected = "Left blank"
Ignition = Ignition
Immobilizer = Immobilizer
Movement = Motion
PowerSupplyVoltage = Voltage
SatelliteCount = SatelliteCount
Speed = Speed
5) Have updated all plugins thru Oct/4/2016.

Here is my terminal which doesn't show variables I have mapped, so it seems like it's a Device Mapper issue. I even set up an SMS event for the FM1202 to text me when there is an Authorized Driver Event. When I place the iButton in the receiver, The FM1202 succesfully sends me ans SMS put no information shows up in the Terminal screen.

Noticed that a new Teltonika plugin was released. I just updated to version 4.0.0.4639.

My Device mapping still remains the same and here is what my terminal shows. Seems like there continues to be a Device Mapper issue.

I still can't get the iButton information to be transmitted to GGS. The FM1202 does read the device since it sends out an sms directly after an ibutton authorization event.

Am I missing something or is this a bug?

Thanks!

Just updated to Patch v4.0.0.4659

The FM1202 still doesn't show the iButton field in Terminal.

Any pointers anyone? :( Thanks!

The reason you see no IButton data in the Terminal is that the device sends up no Ibutton data.

Check the device configuration.

This is not a server issue. No update of the server will help.

Thanks Johan!

I was able to get it working. It's one of those moments where I feel both a greatful and dumb at the same time. I assumed the device would send the iButton data by default. I enabled it in the I/O settings of the FM1202 and presto!

Much appreciated!

Cheers!
