Personal tracker recomendation

Tue Jul 22, 2014 3:52 pm

Hi All,

I looking for a personal tracker for one of my client who does door to door distribution. The client needs position update every 5 seconds. Can anyone share previous experience in similar case. Thank you for any suggestions.

Best regards,
Krzysztof

We have used Meitrack MT90 with good results for personal tracking.

Not sure about 5 second updates, we use 30 second updates which is fine for the application.

Hi Paulo,

The MT90 is not bad bat can send data only 10 sec or more. It is not enough for my client. I have been tested the MT90 and the tracker is not really accurate. Any way thank for recommendation.

Kind regards,

Try GL300 QUECLINK or their lone worker solutions

Hi
I am using the MT90 and now i test the last firmware under test (with feature "Down Man Detection" and seems perfect...
I can put the device send data at second, every 45º position change (test on sailor devices)..etc etc..

Hi, I am having maybe the same trouble.
I need 5 sec refresh rate, which I can achieve with Quecling GL200. If I look into terminal I can see, that the data are coming in 5 sec intervals.

But when I see the track and the track points, there are 55 sec intervals. I unchecked filetering, but still something seems to be filtering or "optimizing" the points. Do you have any idea what it can be?

GpsGate only saves data necessary to generate reports and display historical tracks. Redundant data is sometimes filtered to improve performance.

Those are the default rules for historical and live data:

The distance change is 500 meters,
or the time change is 60 seconds,
or the heading change is 30 degrees,
or the speed change is 10 kph (requires latest Patch.v4)
or any of the inputs has changed value.

Contact support @ gpsgate.com for how to change those settings.

Johan
