CalAmp has a wiki with all the information about PEG and technical details for all their LMU devices. However, you have to apply for a login to the PULS wiki from your CalAmp representative. We had to execute an NDA and there is some minimal configuration needed to configure your account. I have only good things to say about CalAmp. They are a very professional company and a pleasure to work with.

I have all the calamp credentials. I did all of that, so I have access to CalAmp PULS amd CalAmp WIKI.
I already configure both trackers (lmu710 and lmu3000) with all that calamp tells on their guides and I already created the users for each vehicle on gpsgate.

The trackers fix the GPS and get the Network but the orange light stop and then blinks, that means the tracker is register but no inbound acknowledgement.

I have an Intellitrac A1 from systech and it work fine and to start tracking and have the tracker connected to the server I have to perform the starttracking command, but the drivers of calamp on gpsgate dont have that option so I'm wondering how I execute the order to start tracking.

In all the guides, CalAmp assume you are using the CalAmp LM Direct as the server or as the interface for the backend gps application, so one more time I'm wondering if something is missing here.

the only time I can really put the tracker sending info to the server is when I execute the AT command
that force the tracker to send a report to the server

At this stage I just want the server and the tracker to be connected and tracking, so do I need to do anything with PEG? I don't need any special feature right now, so I don't need to program any special feature, right?

must something missing here

Do the following to confirm that everything is configured correctly:

- Connect the LMU to Hyperterminal and type ATIC
* Verify that the LMU is connected COMMS = ON
* Verify that your inbound address is configured to your GpsGate server + port

- You probably know this, but if you want to refresh the PEG script type in the following to force the device to check in with PULS and download the latest script: AT$APP PEG ACTION 49 129

This what show up after ATIC

Radio Access : GSM

Phone Number : 15879682552
Maint. Server :
Inbound Server :

There is no COMMS anywhere

if you have access to calamp wiki the guide this tracker is on this link ... tion_Guide

when is mention to perform the command ATIC they show how it should look like a result and there is no COMMS there too even tough they say to preform ATIC to verify comm.

in case you cant see the calamp wiki, here is what they say

(quote) " If the LED is not visible, then Comm may be verified using an AT Command:

Depending on the wireless network being used something similar to what is shown below will be displayed. It is important to verify that 'Yes' values are displayed at the top for Data and Network registration and the correct APN is displayed.

Radio Access : GSM
Network Reg. : Yes, Home
Data Reg. : Yes, Home
Connection : Yes
RSSI : -97 dBm
BER : 99
Channel : 737
Cell ID : 3441

Phone Number :
Maint. Server :
Inbound Server : (
Dual Comm : routing id=0, log cid=0, modem type=21, inbnd index=0

If any of the responses return Not-Acquired or Not-Registered (and the APN is correct), the wireless network operator should be contacted for further troubleshooting.

Please note that it may take several seconds (or longer) for the LMU-7x0™ to communicate with the modem and acquire the wireless network. " (end of quote)

there is 3 yes on the begin of my ATIC (like they say it should be)
and the port and IP is correct
the APN is correct too

There is one thing I found strange

if I preform

ATI5 the result is

-69 D.. .1 20510
M:Os. maint.vehicle-loc 20500
I:O.. 20500

the "0:0.." is the outbound ip/port but I already try a lot stuff and could make that change

Your device is connected ok.

You should be able to force the device to send a event report for test purposes using: AT$APP PEG ACTION 1, xx where xx is any event code you defined in your PEG script.

When you look at the terminal in GpsGate, you should see the details for each event report.

I'm here trying to see or choose which parameters are available for action #1 but I can't find anything on the calamp wiki.
If you know send me the link

Do you know what action i should perform to make the tracker sending a report or log of its position every minute to the server so I can see live on the gpsgate server? Thats what I'm trying to get it done here, anything more than that I can do in a later time.

I see so I have to program the script no matter what, the parameters are events that I program on the script.

Its a bit disappointing because to be honest I though would be some configuration out of the box, at this moment I'm a bit out of time to be around this and learn to program news scripts

but Jdewitt thanks a lot for your effort and time, i can start seeing some light on the end of the tunnel.

So one more time, no matter what, I have to program a script, is that right?

Does anyone have a basic pegscript they'd be okay sharing with me? I have the PULS account setup. But looking for a starting point on script. Im running the LMU2000 units.
