problems with TK103b and GPRS

Thu Feb 02, 2012 4:05 am

hi,

i have Coban TK 103b and installed GPS Gate server. But i can not log or track my device in software. I have tested firewall and got this output:
TCP status: Send OK, please check the Terminal!
UDP status: Send OK, please check the Terminal!

My router is routing on 22022 port on internal IP where is server installed. I have also checked with cmd netstat comand and got this output:
TCP winpc:22022 internet-188-198-23-119.order.orange.uk:4554 ESTABLISHED
so i think that my GPS tracking device is sending something to my server. The firewall on my PC is temporary disabled. I have checked almost all posts and tutorials on your page and can not find the resolution.
If I dial the tracking device I receive message with ok coordinates and link. So in SMS state works and GPS also works. Something is going wrong in GPRS mode.
I have also checked the bill(data, sms, call log) of GSM provider for this SIM card and it can be seen that the device is sending something in every 30s.
What did I missed or it is something wrong with my device?

thank you for your help!

best regards

There is most likely something wrong with how you setup the device. Which SMS did you send to it to start tracking?

GPRS123456 -> GPRS OK
check123456 -> GSM signal 30,GPRS OK, BATTERY 100%,...
t020s***n123456 -> here was no confirmation -this command i have found on some forum it is not listed on trackers manual...
I must confess that the accompanied manuals are very poor... :( yes, i know that this is not your problem...

i do not have all of my sended SMS-es because i have deleted them from my cell phone...
what command do must i send in to device that it send right data trough GPRS on to my installed device?
APN, firewall, routed IP and port, all is like it should be...

You need to send some command to set the APN, and some command to set the IP and port of your server.

i have set up APN with data wihch did i delivered from my GSM provider,
IP was set on my static external IP, port is set to 22022(default port in your software for TK103) it is also routed on my router to internal IP of computer where is this software installed
firewall test from your device is sending me this result:
TCP status: Send OK, please check the Terminal!
UDP status: Send OK, please check the Terminal!
if i send the netstat(for listening network card) command to my computer i got this result:
TCP winpc:22022 internet-188-198-23-119.order.orange.uk:4554 ESTABLISHED
-so something from GPS tracker comes trough GPRS trough my external IP, router,... to my computer...
GPRS status of tracker device is ON, it goes OFF when the APN settings or adminip and port is not as it is set on my installed software, router,... this i have already discovered... so i think that this setiings are ok...

Thanks for your patience and help!

Yes, something like that. That does at least include all setup details necessary. But if the commands are exactly right I am afraid I cannot say.

Any other users in this forum have more detailed knowledge about the setup commands for Coban TK 103b?

All data that comes into GpsGate Server can be seen in the Terminal, this means that if your device sends any data, then you can see it. If there are setup problems in the server you will see that data under "Unknown Connections".

I assume you don't do that?

This means it is a device setup problem.

Here are a few things to check with your mobile operator:

* Does your operator block port 22022 for TCP in their firewall?
* Does your SIM card support GPRS data?
* Is your SIM card enabled and paid for?

all those is OK, read the following:

...the network card receives something trough 22022 PORT and something is coming from my GPS tracking device to the computer where the server is installed.

cmd
netstat
TCP winpc:22022 internet-188-198-23-119.order.orange.uk:4554 ESTABLISHED

TCP -protocol
winpc:22022 -Local Address and port
internet-188-198-23-119.order.orange.uk:4554 -Foreign Address (this is my GSM provider)
ESTABLISHED -State

Return to “GPS trackers, AVL hardware, SIM subscriptions etc.”
