hi i want to put my tracker permenantly in my car without taking it out to charge it there a in car kit to wire straight into the cars harness as it will be hidden in a classic car

for a properly working vehicle setup .. you should use proper vehicle hardware.
is probably cheaper, more functions and more reliable.

what modell do you have ?
the only "silver" device from globalsat i know is the tr-102 .. (i would not even use this for personal use ;-)

how can i find out wich model it is i bought it of a friend.. and it works perfectly as well i just need the kit to fit it in the car

oh .. Ic .. TR 152 can be ported into a car ..
all you need is the cable hornes and an external GPS antenna.

the device have DIP-Switch for the Installation mode ... so it will turn on on external power .. and off of power lost (ACC/ignition mode)
