What do you mean with "Controlled by ACC ?"

out of our experience ... ALL (i mean it) hardware below a price of about 150US .. have 2 things in common

1 - made in china
2 - not reliable in matters of "stable work"

so if you skip 1 .. and try to solve No2 ... simple make the device to be "alive" only if the Ignition is on ..
by this way you ensure the unit have a Reboot every time the Engine is turned on.

we normally remove from this devices the build-in batterys and replace them with Capacity-elemets ...
to Fake a battery (the device will "charge" the capacitor in just half a secound)
and if the engine is turned off ... the device loose rapidly energy .. and not "hang" or loose any setting due very slowly but surely discharge of the build in battery.

by this way we running "quite safe" with cheap hardware.

Thank you Altf4, very interesting, I have not even consider this kind of trick.

So I can say that for this type of device I don't need it to be always on (as it is not even advisable...)

The ideal device would send, just after the vehicle is turned off, the last position of the tracked assets, so that I know that it is steady and his location.

Can you suggest some manufacturer ?

well the hardware use isnt compatible to GGS ... (we use them on another system .. or have a proxy convert to Globalsat format)

what numbers you are talking about ? because i just at the moment try to make the manufacturer to "fit into TrackerOne" ....
some numbers would sure speed this up.

we have a device (its not only cheap .. its also looks cheap) ;-)
http://www.benyamap.com/vt-300

has some custome firmware changes ... and out proxys enforce 50 secounds tracking intervals ...
its abit over 100USD .. with the hardware changes ... but it works so far .. some of this we have in productions over 3 years ...

well its still from china ... the rate of failure is still by 10-12% .. but we know this and change the hardware without any big consideration to the customer ..
as we get it fixed moreless free ... from the manufacturer ... (as long the customer not burn it by false setup)

The VT-300 seems the AVL01 from tzonedigital.com.

I don't know if tzonedigital.com is the real manufacturer or is only rebranding...

This is the device you want to make compatible with TrackerOne ?
