Failed to install GpsGate Server on Windows Server

Sun Jul 13, 2008 1:32 pm

Hi
The problem is similiar to that in this post:
http://franson.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=7828

I tried to install GpsGate Server on Windows Server 2003, but it does not become installed, finding that the database (MySQL 5) is not istalled, and when browsing the installed site, I am faced with the error message "Web application error", but when running the application setup on Windows XP IIS 5.1, it is installed and accessible successfully.
Is there a special security configuration for setup on Windows Server 2003 IIS 6.0?

Best regards
Waleed M. Al-Hasan

Are you installing GpsGate Server 1.3 or 2.0 BETA?

In the folder "IIS" where you installed GpsGate Server log files are generated. They are named "logfile YYYY-MM-DD.txt" (or .log)

Please ZIP and send those files to bigfile @ franson . com

NOTE! Any attachments sent to our help desk must be less than 1MB in size.
Send larger files to bigfile@franson.com

You can also take a look in those log files yourself to see exact error messages.

And you can configure IIS to display error messages in clear text in the browser.

Regards,
Johan
