Gpsgate Server installed - what's the next step ?

Hello, I'm using gpsgate server for a personal application.I have no experience with gps related software or gps devices.I have am gt30 gps receiver, and also gpsgate server installed.So far so good. I have setted gprs for my gps device,apn, my ip , the 30175 default gpsgate server port.The gps manage to send it's location at my computer but gpsgate doesn't manage to receive it and enter it into my database. Please tell me what am I missing, or doing wrong. Thanks in advance.

Devices you connect to port 30175 must support GpsGate Server protocol. gt30 does not support that protocol. You can ask the manufacturer to implement the protocol and it will work. The protocol is open and the specifications can be found in "GpsGate.com Client SDK" to be downloaded here:

You can also try to connect to "SmartPipe" on port 30176, this port analyzes the data sent and tries to extract time and position information. It works for many devices, but not all.
