Current Position Incorrect

Fri Feb 29, 2008 4:39 pm

We are using GpsGate Mobile and noticed that if the vehicle we are tracking is idle for 10 minutes or so, we start to get positions on the map for that user, the problem is the positions are almost 1 mile away from where the user is?

Any ideas what would cause this?

Regards,

Peter

There is a log file in the "Franson NMEA Service" folder. It is called "logfile YYYY-MM-DD.txt". There you can see each position report coming in.

You can see the server time when the report came in. And you can see the NMEA message which contains UTC time, and exact position reported. You can also see when the client connects and disconnects.

In the VehicleTracker interface you can see the track history and compare points.
