BuddyTracker map page error

Mon Feb 25, 2008 6:59 pm

I've just installed GpsGate Server. My system is Windows XP Pro SP2
and IE7. I don't have a website so I used localhost throughout
the install. I am having a problem when running BuddyTracker on
my dedicated GpsGate Server. The map page displays but the details
at the bottom right of the window are incomplete...note the
$symbols...

Info {$Username} My Tracks

User Info: Position Info:
Username: {$Username} Latitude: {$Lat} Speed: {$Kmh}
Name: {$Name} Longitude: {$Lon} {$Mph}
Altitude: {$Altitude} meters
Last updated: {$LastUpdated} Heading: N, 19.7°

Bottom left of status line shows some ! error...
Line 140
Char 5
Object expected
Code 0
URL: http://localhost/GPSGateServer/BuddyTracker/Home.aspx

I am using my GPSGate Client output set to localhost(buddy)
I would like to know why and how can I fix it.

I do not get this behaviour when using GPSGate.com. The whole screen
displays properly. I think status line says Done.

Is my system missing some Java pieces? Should I have a specific
version of Java installed? I just have whatever came with the
Windows XP.

Thanks for any help.

Rob

Hi!
This problem will be fixed in next release.

A quick fix for now is:
1. Find this row in [INSTALL_PATH]\IIS\BuddyTracker\Home.aspx"

Code: Select all

<strong style="width: 150px">{$LastUpdated}&nbsp;</strong>
2. Replace with this:

Code: Select all

<strong style="width: 150px">{$LastUpdated}</strong>&nbsp;

Bjorn,

Thanks very much. It works. I'm delighted :)
I'm glad I asked.

Rob
