HI

when i try update the dispatch plugin i get the following error -

Error: This plugin requires Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable version 14.0 or greater.
Please install: https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=746572

Please note that updating Dispatch plugin from the BETA repository will change how it works. You can read all about it here:
http://forum.gpsgate.com/viewtopic.php?f=29&t=19995

Only install this on a TEST server since it is still in BETA.

If you are aware of the above and want to upgrade, Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable version 14.0 or higher needs to be installed on the server hosting your GpsGate Server before you can upgrade Dispatch.

Hello

The new events icons feature in the vehicle list is great. Is it possible to have 3 states instead of 2. Using your example in the release post,
a battery level rule shows a fully charged green battery vs. a half charged orange battery. It would be good in most cases to have a third option so using your example you would have an red icon for empty battery.

To improve the look of the vehicle list please change speed to 0km/h instead of 0.00km/h

To make the vehicle name stand out within the vehicle list with a large number of vehicles and data displayed, it would be good if there was an option to either increase the font size or bold the name field. Also if it was possible to wrap text for larger vehicle names

Now that icons are enabled in the vehicle list it would be great if we could select an icon from the icon library or custom import library to represent the type of vehicle. Nearly all other tracking systems have this on their vehicle list

Thank you

This is something that we definitely will consider.

Yes that makes perfect sense for most vehicles. We might add that as a setting.

Right now the table layout is not suitable for that. But we are currently looking into better solutions for the vehicle list.

That is something that we are currently working on. How ever to be able to make the platform future proof for new screen resolutions, hardware etc, we will probably not support custom icons in bitmap formats like JPG, PNG or GIF in the future. But we are taking customer request on icons that they would like to be added. Instead we are working on improving the User gallery.

Driver Journal

1. It is very cumbersome to use if you are not using ibutton or rfid.
2. it should be possible to assign driver for a trip on the fly
3. It should be possible to edit driver journal. At the moment I can not change the driver name once driver journal entry is created.

Hello

Please include the ability to add POI's from mobile APP or Garmin so that the drivers can add POI details when they are at the location which is a lot easier than trying to figure out the locations from reports

Thank you

Here are a some common requests we get for improving map symbology:
Continuous updating of tracks so you can track a vehicles through a day without continually having to update the search and redraw the tracks.
Ability to filter tracks on integer fields in addition to boolean fields
Ability to filter on multiple fields
Ability to change colors on filters instead of just light and dark colors

Regards,
Jay

Hi All,

In the device scripting, either at the application level or the site administration level allow the script to store a value that can be checked the next time the script runs. The problem this would solve is setting a true/false flag based on a value that is not received from the device with every position report. If I could store the flag value, I could check the position report to see if the check value is included. If it isn't included I would return the last recorded value of the flag. If the check value is included in the report, I would evaluate it and update the flag value.

Regards,
Jay

Hi, keep going with the design updates good job,

In order to make the interface more user-friendly please consider add more graphical elements to the interface, because there is a lot of text right now, it is easier find windows and functions when graphics are used,

for example (I know the design team of gpsgate can do something a lot better),

Hi Agustin94,

In the future you will probably see us adding more and more icons. You can allready see this development in the new Status panel where we have replaces buttons with plain icons.

Thank you for your feedback.

Hi Markus,

Yes, you are right the implementation of icons in the new status panel it is a good example, but I am missing graphics in the cards, GpsGate recently launched an icons library for notifications icon, Why not use the same library with the cards?, for example cards like Speed, Heading or Altitude already have those icons.

Will be great use different icons for boolean variables instead of just the check icon, also use blue or green for representing something is true could be more sugerent.

But in general, the new status panel is definitely a great improvement.
