@limyo

We are generally investigating performance on Windows Phone 8.1 Internet Explorer (WP8 is not currently supported, but all WP8 devices can upgrade free to WP8.1) but have not managed to duplicate an issue with failing to load the application before or after logging in. If you have technical issues on a specific device please send us an email to support and we will work on resolving it.

Andrew

Hello Andrew,

Even it work in Windows 8.1, but new mobile interface is not suitable to view on device with small resolution it difficult view information.

I still suggest to keep old mobile interface because it lite easy to load and view detail information.

Thanks
Best regards

Is it because of the width reduction due to the thin map showing? or something else?
Please describe more detailed improvements. We have ideas on possible improvements for small-screen devices of course. The Beta still also has some unnecessary whitespace and word-wraps that are going to be fixed for example.

We've decided not to support both the old and new version. The new version will scale better with a new plugin system to enable new features and more customization.

Hi Fredrik

It would be very useful if you could draw vehicle journeys on the mobile application, also reporting.
It would also be good if the icon showed the direction of travel

On an iphone it is difficult to change from map view to satellite view. It is also difficult to get out of street view

Track drawing has many requests and is on the todo-list. Looking into better icons also.

Yeah, I too agree that Google maps has surprisingly tiny buttons for those things! Perhaps we can tweak it..

Would be great to "auto-follow" a vehicle on the map!

@GPS2014
I assume this was when you added the page to the home screen? In plain web-mode it should work.
After investigation it seems like IOS8 has serious issues with this kind of home screen (even embedded YouTube can apparently fail..).

IOS7 works fine!

New release of Mobile plugin on the beta repository.

Features
Mobile plugin AppCache implementation.Selecting a vehicle moves marker to top of stack.Now an iOS7 home screen compatible web app.Bookmarking the app will preserve the state of your tabs.Quick control bar rebuilt to give more visual feedback.
Fixes
Alerts sometimes re-appear on map when view switched.Switching views can keep previous views vehicles on map.Events without position end up at 0;0.View/Application menu sometimes does not respond.VehicleList not updating in real time with signals changes.Tab and region animations perform better on older devices.
One of the new features for this release "AppCache" can help dramatically speed up the load times of the Mobile plugin. When enabled, the first time you load the site the device's HTML5 compatible browser will save a lot of the larger files on the device. These will stay on the device until a new version of the plugin is released, at which point it will download the updated files and store them instead.

Enabling this feature will save you up to 90% of your download time and bandwidth allowance on each subsequent page load over not having it enabled.

To enable the feature, you just need to set your IIS to serve .appcache files with the MIME type 'text/cache-manifest'.

Click below for a guide to doing this in IIS Manager.

Do you have any Infos how to Register such a mime-type in IIS-Express too?

In the iisexpress_applicationhost.config a MimeType

<mimeMap fileExtension=".appcache" mimeType="text/cache-manifest" />

exists...

So, maybe there is no change needed in IIS-Express?

We have added the MIME type for AppCache for IIS express for you already so yes, no changes are needed to take advantage of this feature!

Currently it is not possible to use either our older version or new beta version of the Mobile Plugin as a home screen app on iOS 8. There are some major bugs with the new version of WebView that iOS 8 uses for home screen apps that are affecting many web apps.

We will update the plugin and this thread with more information if these bugs are fixed in a future release of iOS 8.

Andrew
