I suggest:
-Draw track show direction same as desktop.
-Realtime: show vehicle icon on map as arrow for easy show direction of vehicle driving same as desktop.

Thanks

I think GPS2014 is right, there should be a detailed trip & idle report when drawing tracks on the mobile, also i think a huge advantage would be to add chat feature and the ability to view and edit driver journal on the phone as well as add fuel fillings.

Customers report problems with the mobile user interface on Lumia 640 XL running Windows Phone 8.1 upd 2. The problem is the map, which does not respond to any activity. The map can not be zoomed, panned or responds to any touch actions. It seems that the UI is also very sluggish/slow. Opening and operating the side panels seems to work.

Are there any known problems with this platform (Windows Phone 8.1)?

Thank you!

I guess the main problem with Windows Mobile 8.1 is that no one supports it, including Microsoft them self.

If you use very odd phones, there will be issues. Maybe the user just needs to accept that Microsoft has no working mobile platform and start using Android or iPhone.

Hi!

I agree, but the problem is that most health- and care workers in our region can not operate by BYOD (bring-your-own-device) principle, and large companies like Tieto (www.tieto.se) produce their mobile healthcare and welfare apps for Windows phone only so far, mainly to respond to the municipalities IT strategies. The user base in about 60 Swedish municipalities is quite large... Same situation in other Nordic countries. One can only hope that the situation will change soon.

My question is if there are known issues with the mobile UI and WIndows Phone 8.1, and if it is officially supported or not?

From Andrew's blog entry (http://gpsgate.com/blogComment/mobile_plugin) November 15, the statement is "We recommend that you use the new Mobile plugin with a device running iOS 6 or above, Android Chrome browser or Windows Phone 8.1 for the best experience."

Thank you!

Hi,

We do currently aim to support Windows Phone for the Mobile plugin. It is not our platform of focus, however and there have been some bugs for the platform introduced by updates.

We have an upcoming release designed to solve UI responsiveness that should help alleviate some of the jankiness on that platform too.

I have been able to reproduce this non-responsive map problem though and we will look into that.

Thank you Andrew. We totally agree that the Windows Phone 8.1 platform should not be the focus.

It is good news that you have reproduced the problem though, and that you aim to have a fix. Please announce it as soon as you have a beta release ready..

Best Regards,

Hi,

We have an update coming soon that is confirmed to solve the panning issue on the latest versions of the Edge browser in Windows Phone 10. We will also out of necessity be updating our minimum requirements for Windows Phone to be version 10.

If the issue persists on the older platform we can likely take a look at it, but unfortunately we won't be able to promise any resolution especially if it involves WP8.1 platform specific special cases.
