FEATURE: SiteAdmin Privileges

FEATURE: SiteAdmin Privileges

You can now customize user privileges in SiteAdmin application.

Privilege management is now available in SiteAdmin application. Just like for VehicleTracker, you can edit privileges assigned to roles, create custom roles, and assigns roles to users.

Hello Johan,

Thanks for adding new greate SiteAdmin user and role.

I have been trying, but I see a problem.
1. Create Role -> from SiteAdmin Roles, this work properly.
2. Create SiteAdmin user -> SiteAdmin Users -> click Add User , but it show on top "Existing user 'Demokh' found. Editing existing user." of an application of vehicle tracker. Actually I need add fresh new SiteAdmin user.

Why Add User it detect existing user?
I need to create fresh new SiteAdmin user.

Hello Johan,

SiteAdmin Privileges very helpful for me to allow all of my customer service team access application whiteout remember each application password.

I have one thing that I don't want allow my customer service team access to all application especially Application for geocoding, special secrete customer application.
I suggest to have list of application that we can allow or not allow under:
-Page -> Applications -> Search and Manage
-Applications -> UseImpersonatedLogin

I hope you consider about this feature.

Thanks
Best regards

Dear Johan,

I would like to see the features below:
- Each new Admin user do not edit and view other admin applications accept the application are created by the admin owner it selft also all sub admin privileges do not has the privileges to access view and edit to the highest privileges said it the super admin privileges.
where super admin has the privileges full control all lowest admin.
illustrations tree for privilege:

super Admin___admin1__App1
| |
| |__App2
|
|___Admin2___Appa
| |
| |___Appb |
|
|__.....

The current features admin1 has the full privileges to access to admin2, meanwhile the admin2 is belong to someone else company .

thanks
Gee

agimex: The intention is not to let end customers into SiteAdmin. That is not a good idea. You should create applications for your customers.

The intention with privileges in SiteAdmin is instead that you, as a Tracking Partner, should be able to assign tasks to your staff, without risking your server.

Johan

limyo: Thanks for your feedback. Yes, to "Tag" the applications and give something similar to _ReadData access to the SiteAdmin Roles is something we are considering.

Hi Johan,

I have created a copy of _Administrator and named it _Operator when I tried to delete the _Operator role it returns runtime error. Please refer below. Naming the SiteAdmin roles starting with "_" will considered as Default role, it should only applies to _Administrator role or restrict the user to enter starting with "_".

Names staring with "_" are reserved. It is a bug that you were allowed to create one.

Please contact support @ gpsgate.com for instructions on how to change the name.

Hello Johan,

I already create application tag and assigned to application, but I can not find how to allow or not allow access tag in SiteAdmin roles.

Could you please advice how to use application tag in SiteAdmin roles?

Thanks

_DeleteApplication, _EditApplication, _ReadApplication and _UseImpersonatedLogin now have support for Application Tags.

Please update Patch.v4 from beta.gpsgate.com to test.
