Vehicle Maintenance Module

Fri Oct 19, 2012 4:59 am

I have a customer asking if it is possible to have a maintenance module with facilities to have schedules emailed prior X hours or klms when due.

Can you seriously think about creating a full maintenance module with the following fields

- Fleet Number
- Make of vehicle
- Model
- Type
- Date purchased
- Rego number
- Rego due
- Tyre size
- Service schedule (choice of running hours, klm or both)
- Type of service
- Date or hours last serviced
- Check box with entry box for engine hours and/or Klms to show service completed
- Ability to create or attach a service sheet

Some of the fields would need to have restricted access.

Cheers

Same requirement here with our customers. Quite ironical being so good in other areas, GpsGate has not developed or integrated it yet.
Even if a smaller utility can be released till the full blown maintenance module is developed, it would serve some of very insisted and natural requirements of a customer.
Thanks

Indeed. I would just like to be able to "zero" a counter (after a vehicle service) and then have an alarm trigger close to the service interval for the vehicle.

We are working on a maintenance module that will address these questions.

The first step will be a simple counter that can be used in Event Rules, that should be available shortly.

Later we will release a more complete Maintenance module.

Kindly include "engine hours" field which should be picked from the device input. There are many customers who need their vehicle's serviced after specified number of hours of engine running.
Thanks

Hi Support,

I have suggestions for Maintenance Log improvement. Existing Maintenance Log only have 4 fields: Performed at, Planned at, Logged by and Comment.

Can you add two more columns:

1. Column "Performed date/time", can not null, by default current date time but can be selected from calendar also. This to note WHEN an Odometer or Running Hour type maintenance have been done.

2. Column "Performed place", can be null, by default PoI/Geofence name of vehicle position when on Performed date/time or any given name. This is to note WHERE a Time, Odometer or Running Hour type maintenance have been done.

Please consider these. Thank you.

Best Regards,

Hi Support,

I have suggestions for Maintenance Event Reminder improvement. I suggest to also provide Reminder-2 (and maybe Reminder-3) for maintenance notification flexibility.

Thank you.
