Add driver ID to trip/stop report.

Wed Jul 27, 2011 7:50 pm

Hi support,

Is it possible to add 1 more column in trip stop report indicating driver's id name?

I am creating a new customised trip/stop report but I can only find ibutton id.

I know I can create an event rules but I would like to combine driver name into a single trip stop report.

Here is to add Driver ID support to an application
http://forum.gpsgate.com/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=13209

The latest beta Core + Reporting update v3.0.0.2982 is required.

You can after setting up the Driver Event Rule and adding iButton / RFID to each driver run any kind of report on driver instead of on vehicle.

Add the drivers to a specific tag, and then show a report for that tag.

Johan

I have tried to create a driver events report EV1000 and generate. The report shows blank. I have copied the error log as follow:

2011-07-31 17:00:37.3683 | Error | 31 | ReportDataProvider.Process | GpsGate.Reporting.v3.ReportingProcessException | GpsGate.Reporting.v3.ReportingProcessException: Process failed for 1

Removed a lot of logging data

Do things step by step.

Start by adding a Text notifier to the Driver Event Rule. And the include it in the vehicle list.

Now when you change driver you should see the driver name in the vehicle list.

hi Johan,

1. The text notifier was already done to the Driver Event Rule. I am able to see driver's name both on the vehicle column and on marker's attributes.

2. When i change the ibutton tag, i can also see change in driver's name.

The only problem is report generation. In the event report EV1000, i have selected "driver ID" which i name as the the event rules name and have selected "drivers" which i have grouped all drivers into this tag.

This is what i have done in my event rules:

Rule Name:
Driver ID

2.Who applies to this rule:
vehicle + Drivers

3.Schedule rule activities:
Always active

4.Expression
Driver ID variable: ibutton
Immediate event

5.Notifications
Reports Only -> [Driver Name]
Driver ID
Column Header: Driver, Text when active: [Driver Name], When ends:---

Everything seems to be okay. Did i miss out anything?

Selecting the EV1000 report for your Driver Event Rule makes no sense. That is not what you should do.

If you for example want a distance report for a driver, use the TR1000 report and select a Tag which includes the drivers you are interested in. Try that.

Or if you are interested in a event report like EV1000 for a tag of drivers, select the tag of drivers and the Event Rule(s) you want to generate the report for e.g. a geofence event rule or similar. (Not the driver ID event rule).
