GpsGate & Google Maps

Tue Jun 17, 2008 7:05 pm

Where can I download the Franson GpsGate Plugin Pack from? I am attempting to get GpsGate to work with Google Maps. The instructions on the Franson website point to the Downloads page to find the Plugin Pack, however, I only see four downloads available there, none of which is the Plugin Pack.

Please advise. Thanks.

The "PlugIn Pack" is no longer supported. To get GPS access from your browser, read this:

It also includes some tips on how to connect the GPS to an existing Google Map.

As Johan stated the Plugin Pack is no longer supported so if you have a problem with it your own your own, but it does work with older versions of IE. Here is the location:

Johan suggested I post my thoughts here though I am not sure why!

By requiring users to code their own pages instead of linking to Google Maps simply (as you did previously with the add in), you will miss MANY license sales. There are functionally superior solutions for less money(http://dvdwindow.com/gps) that are ideal for users who have embedded GPS in their laptops. This is rapidly becoming standard on US business class laptops.

Why not support the plug in? While the example you provided in the
post of a GPS enabled Google Map is nice, it is too small and does not zoom into the current location adequately.

I think you are really about to miss a good market opportunity -- please reinstate support for the plug in!
