Product selection

I'm new at this, I want to log raw SeaTalk and NMEA data onto my notebook PC. I have serial and USB ports that I suspect would be used to input the data. I think Raymarine has a box that will interface to the serial port (SeaTalk to PC). My question is do you have a product that allows me to stuff raw data into the PC. It may be SeaTalk or NMEA. I'm looking at your parser program and the serial program.

Thanks

Raymarine's PC/SeaTalk/NMEA Interface box E85001 allows most SeaTalk sentences to be converted to NMEA strings & vice versa. Check out spec at:
http://www.raymarine.com/raymarine/SubmittedFiles/Handbooks/raytech/81166_3www.pdf

It has a dedicated RS232 output to PC. This NMEA output could be connected to your COM (serial) port & directed as input to GpsGate & its built in logger.

Hi

This is much more flexible than the Raymarine solution. Can even handle USB connection to the comuter

can you integrate in GpsGate a SeaTalk to NEMA sentences converter. That way I can connect a seatalk device and forward the data to my navigation application... no need for a external box :-)

Thanks
