how do i get the prerequisite files on MOTO Q

Fri Apr 06, 2007 2:29 am

I am trying to get the prerequisite files onto a MOTOROLA Q.

I downloaded both IBM and Sun's CDLC 1.1 and MDIP 2.0 (or whatever it is) but have NO IDEA on how to get it on the phone.

Has anyone gotten this to work with a Q????

Thanks![:(]

Hi,

Exactly which files did you download? There should be an installation package or something similiar.

I downloaded via the links posted in other posts on this forum somewhere. I Think the IBM one was:
http://www14.software.ibm.com/download/data/web/en_US/trialprograms/N882497S32820G44.html?S_TACT=104AH+W42

The Sun one I got from here:

I installed the IBM one on my XP PC but can't even see it and don't know where it put it and can't get it over to my phone. Or if I can.

I downloaded the sun stuff, but it's a bunch of html docs, & misc things. No setup! Again, the docs seem to speak only to coders, not to us mere network engineer dummies.

I can't be the only one with a Q who has gone through this - there must be a step by step guide on how to add this stuff. This phone is obviously pretty new, so it must have the required processing power & such.

Any ideas?

Thanks!
