W8 x86 [5] failed to create virtual serial port

Wed Feb 13, 2013 11:04 pm

Hello,

I've got a new tablet with W8 on it (not RT) and i've installed the latest version op GPSGate Client (V2.6.0.402) and the output ports are not working properly. They all mention "[5] failed to create virtual serial port". If I install the program on my PC with x64 on it the device works as expected.

I've been looking all afternoon for a solution, but nothing found yep.

The tablet is a Acer Iconia W510.

Anyone have a solution for this problem?

I've tried uninstalling the program and reinstalling it again.

With kind regards,

Hi,

Still nothing after a day of trying. It does not have anything to do with Windows 8. I've tried several PC's with normal W8 and W8 pro, both 32 and 64 bit. All of them are working.

For some reason the Acer Iconia W510 is not working as it should. Until now I am not able to install a clean (non acer image) on the tablet). Acer can't help me with this either which is rather strange.

Hopefully someone can help me with this since the software is working normally very good.

Regards,
Roland
