My Garmin 176c GPS - NMEA at 4800 bps - is fed into an AIS receiver which outputs the combined signal at 38400. I would like to run SeaClear II or OpenCPN simultaneously with Nobeltec Ver 7.xx which only accepts 4800. Is there a way to direct the GPS 4800 signal to Nobeltec on one port while allowing the 38400 to go to another port?
The Gateway laptop is about 10 years old running Win 2000, has 1 - DB9
COMM port. It came with the boat without OS or Nobeltec discs. The
installer is a little flaky and I have not been able to install GPSGate as yet and would like to know if GPS Gate would separate the signals before pursuing the installer problem.
