Human inout device error

Sat Mar 14, 2009 6:56 pm

Im using the lastest .net Compact versions, on a wm6 HTC diamond with the microsoft bluetooth stack. It fails everytime I try to get a stream. I can get streams from other service but from none of my human input devices.

error:
BlueToolsException
Failed to connect remote Bluetooth service

at
franson.Bluetools.Toolkit.PullExceptions(IntPtr obj)
at
Franson.BlueTools.ServiceStream..ctor(IntPtr nativeProvider)
at
Franson.BlueTools.RemoteService.get_Stream()

Any suggestions

Thanks

Maybe it uses an SCO link? That is not supported by bluetooth.

What types of link can it be? Sorry, I dont know.
Also, the keyboard works with my HTC ppc and my pc. So it must be supported by the bluetooth.

So what HID does work with your bluetooth api?

Yes, bluetooth supports both SCO and ACL links, but BlueTools only support ACL.
This can be compared to UDP and TCP if you are familiar with the difference between these (one is connectionless and one is connection-oriented).

In any case, if you get an error the device is simply not supported by BlueTools.
