Accept Connection Rejected

Thu Jan 29, 2009 6:56 pm

Is there a way to detect when a connection is rejected from the remote device? I think I've seen a couple of similar posts that ask the question and it is mentioned that an ObjectDisposeException should be thrown by the Stream when remote device does not accept the connection. I don't appear to getting the exception and none of the other events are fired (Error, PushEnd, DisconnectEnd). Although these are events of the ObexObjectPush not the Stream. I am using the PushFileAsync method. How and where would I determine if the connection has been rejected by the remote devices?

Also, I've seen other posts that ask about whether or not you can set the radio friendly name (is it Network.Server.Name?). I am using the Microsoft Stack. It appears to be using the Computer Name by default and the above mentioned attribute is read-only. Is it possible to set the friendly name of the radio programmatically?

There is no way to determine if the connection timed out, was rejected or simply lost. It's no different down at the stack level.

It's not possible to set the radio name either, it's not supported by the stack.
