An undefined exception while disc services

Wed Nov 26, 2008 7:31 pm

Hi

I have a fairly well proved application but for some reason one user gets this error message when searching for services:

An undefined exception occurred in the Bluetooth stack while discovering services

He uses Widcomm 5.5.0.3900 on Windows XP SP3.

It is 100% consistent.

Do you have any ideas on what might be the cause.

Bluetools version used is 1.2.

No one has encountered this problem?

Is there anyone who can comment on testresults on a Widcomm version this new. I have only tested with 5.0.1.xx.

Is Bluetools updated towards the widcomm SDK for this version numbering.

I reply myself.

The user reported that when downloading an update for Bluetooth from Asus he now has Widcomm 5.1.0.5500 and now Bluetools work again.

Since the Asus netbooks are quite popular I guess this could be an issue for others as well. Is there any risk that the problem lies in Bluetools or should we just assume that it is a Widcomm problem.

Undefined exceptions are generally Widcomm problems since BlueTools handles most of the exceptions that can come up.
