Receiving Files Pushed To My Device With BlueTools

Mon Oct 27, 2008 3:45 pm

I'm a final year computer science student of Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology. I'm working on a chat utility that works on any LAN or WAN available as my final year project.

I downloaded BlueTools because i wanted to incorporate Bluetootrh based chat in case a LAN or WAN is unavailable and the computers available have bluetooth.

I have been able to send files to bluetooth devices but can't receive files.
Without that functionality, i can't complete my project.

I need help. If anyone can help me receive files from bluetooth devices, i will be most grateful

Please Reply.

Try the ObexServiceGUI sample.
You must disable the built-in Obex services on your device otherwise those will pick up the incoming bluetooth request.

It's in the SDK you've installed.
