Device signalStrength

Fri Oct 03, 2008 8:02 pm

Hi again,
The problem before was solved, thanks.

Now i'm trying to resolve a positioning bluetooth task.
Testing the SignalStrength (Device attribute) in my experience was not very accurate.
Seems that has to discover services in order to get the strength, makes sense.
Others parameters that influences the device detection are the noises, i imagine that it could decrease the possibility, but i could try a couple of times and get an accurate number.

In your experience what do you think of this? determine the position of a device.

Thanks for the support, it gives the product an incredible value.

I don't think you can count on SignalStrength if you have a lot of devices around.
The more devices that are available will flood the surroundings with discovery responses (device & service).
