Bluetooth Stack

Mon Jul 10, 2006 8:09 pm

I understand that Bluetools only supports the Microsoft & Widcomm stacks. Is there a major technical reason why only these stacks are supported and other stacks can't be supported, or is it just something you have not currently looked into doing i.e future versions of Bluetools will support other stacks?

The reason I ask is because I have an internal bluetooth chip on my new Dell Inspiron laptop that apparently runs with a Toshiba Windows Stack, and I can't get Bluetools to work with this because the stack is not supported.

Is there any way for me to get Bluetools to work with this bluetooth chip e.g. change the bt drivers to Microsoft; and can you suggest how i go about this?

(I have a licensed version of Bluetools by the way).

I am having the same problem on several DELL computers.
For some reason it even appears that an external USB dongle can no longer be used, as the Microsoft drivers have been overwritten on that computer!?

I have not been able to run proper debugging on these computers, but any help and advice on how to use those internal dongles would be highly apreciated.
