Bluetools not working on Windows 7. Dll issue

Wed Oct 28, 2009 4:53 pm

Currently working on a bachelor project where we want to get some bluetooth going and currently we have huge issue getting Bluetools working:

When we compile we get the error: Bluetools.dll not loaded

We dont event pass the point where you registre the trial licenskey.

License license = new License();
license.LicenseKey = "jygKcSKACGKADbh1t........";

listBox1.Items.Add("Licenskey registred");

Now we've tried both manually and via programs to load the dll's into the OS. But get the msg:

Failed to register C:\Program Files (x86)\Franson\BlueTools SDK v1.21\dotNet\bin\Bluetools.dll: error 127 - The specified procedure could not be found.

This leads me to think that it's not possible to load those dll's into a system using Windows 7.

Or does anyone else have a solution or a suggestion to solve this issue.

We could run a Vista or XP WM and registre the dll in those but im reluctant to do that.

You shouldn't register the BlueTools DLL, it should just be accessible by the .NET application (preferably the same folder)

I have added it manually via the Reference - Add in Visual Studio. The issue appears at compiletime. Does Franson support 64-bit operation systems?

No it doesn't work in 64-bit, but in any case. You only add Franson.BlueTools.dll to Visual Studio. BlueTools.dll should not be added as it contains the core whereas Franson.BlueTools.dll is merely a wrapper.
