Garmin GNS 430 - Jeppesen FliteDeck

Tue Mar 31, 2009 11:00 pm

The serial 'out' of my panel mount Garmin GPS 430 feeds a Serial Socket Bluetooth adapter (from Socket Mobile) that broadcasts the aviation-format gps position currently wirelessly to my PC through a virtual com-port (currently Com5), from where the Jeppesen Flitedeck software picks it up. (only that Jeppesen Flitedeck has a known bug that 'loses' the altitude information)

Would gpsgate be able to read the aviation input from my virtual
socket mobile com port and convert it to NMEA to the Jeppesen
Flitedeck? (so that altitude starts showing?)

I'd like to know before buying.
