Garmin GPS60 with GPS Gate

Sun Dec 03, 2006 9:16 pm

I have recently bought a GPS 60. What exactly does GPSGate offer? Can it get round the need for NMEA/serial connection to allow real time download to laptop using USB? Can it enable me to download data from the GPS60 via USB to mapping software such as Google Maps etc? I am afraid that I am a novice to use of GPS so any advice very welcome.

GpsGate does not supoprt up and downloading of maps, waypoints, tracks and similar.

What you can do is to get the live position from the GPS and share it to as many GPS applications as you want running on your PC. GpsGate can also convert the protocol between NMEA and Garmin, which is a good thing in a mixed environment.

You can not do anythng of what you suggest above.
