RE: Version 1.2 still has problems with microsoft

Hi, We have concluded that this problem is due to an incomplete service record. In the upcoming beta that will be made available during next week, we will include an automatic configuration of the service record. However, to ensure that you are experiencing the same problem, it would be greatly appr...

RE: One Garmin GPS10 and two HP iPAQs

Hi, What is it that doesn't work with your setup, i.e. which aspect of the configuration appears to fail? Is it "GPS10 -> COM8 -> GpsGate" (if the color of the GpsGate icon doesn't turn green/yellow, GpsGate doesn't see the GPS) or "GpsGate -> COM6 -> Garmin Que" (if Garmin Que can't connect to COM6...

RE: local bluetooth device address

Hi,

Sorry about the delay. The current version of bluetools does not support this, but per your request we can look into it for the upcoming 1.2 beta release that will be available next on the 28th.

Which stack and platform are you running?

Improving I/O performance

To improve performance on synchronous streams, you should introduce buffering to avoid frequent calls to the bluetooth stack. This should be done only if you write data using WriteByte or write small chunks of data using Write, but does not introduce any significant overhead if you apply it in other...

RE: Problem using SDIO SCANNER

Hi, We've seen some problems with the Socket drivers in conjunction with BlueTools running on top of the Microsoft before. The Socket driver installation makes it look like the Widcomm stack is running rather than the Microsoft stack, which in turn causes BlueTools to load the wrong stack driver. Th...

RE: RemoteService.Stream.Read blocks forever

Hi,

We have been able to recreate this error here and will fix this in an upcoming release (1.2) that will be available as a beta-release in a couple of weeks. You can upgrade to 1.2 without purchasing a new license.

Lost connections (WidComm)

Lost connections (WidComm) Some versions of the Widcomm bluetooth stack contains a flow control bug that causes connections to be lost due to a buffer overflow. The bug has been detected on stack version 1.4.2 build 1500 and appears to be resolved in stack version 1.5.0. A workaround has not yet bee...

RE: Problem with Direct connection to nRoute 2.6.1

Note that when you connect nRoute to the Garmin emulator, GpsGate will continuously send position and satellite data to nRoute. However, if the position becomes invalid, i.e. "to old", it will not continue sending position data. This, however, should not break the connection to nRoute. If you downlo...

RE: Problem with Direct connection to nRoute 2.6.1

Hi! > nRoute cannot see the stream The connection fails? What is the response from nRoute? > Do these strings have to be sent on a periodic basis? eg. GGA I don't know if I understand you here. Keep in mind that nRoute does not take NMEA as input, but Garmin's proprietary protocol. Please explain mo...

RE: Problems with GPSBabel

Hi, I'm not familiar with GSAK, but the impression I got when testing it was that it's mainly for storing and transferring waypoints, tracks etc. Unfortunatelly, the Garmin emulator in GpsGate 2.0 only supports PVT/satellite/time (etc), no data transfers. Is this assumption correct or do you need PV...

RE: GPS 18 Serial (not USB)

1) Is the time corrent after nRoute has told you the times differ? We have experienced that nRoute sometimes tells you there's a time difference, but after telling you this, the times are correct. 2) GpsGate should not introduce any latency in the GPS data. Does it work if you connect the GPS direct...

RE: SDP Record

You do not need to explicitly handle the SDP record to receive this property. There's a "shortcut" to the description through the Service.Comment property. That property will automatically lookup the attribute from the record. The SDP record is available through the Service.ServiceRecord property. T...
