No, you cannot merge the two actions.

RE: Two problems need your help.

1. Have you tried using UseUnicode property on the RemoteDevice object? 2. It's the same download for all versions. A Pro version is required if you want to create your own services (i.e. building a server application). If you only need to connect to other devices you only need a Standard version. R...

RE: Want to only Connect to BlueTooth Device

You cannot connect without getting a Stream.

As for the COM-port, I have no idea.

RE: Går inte att skapa flera iconer på map

Been a long time since I worked with GpsTools but maybe you need to create a Position object for each object. I'm not sure it's actually copied when you do objIcon.Position = objPosition.

Worth a try at least.

2. You cannot really get a real timeout. Best way is to handle it yourself by closing the Stream after a time limit has elapsed.

3. There are no multithread examples, but it's not complicated. Just make sure you synchronize all the callbacks when you modify the visible GUI.

RE: ReadCallBack problem

Should be okay as long as you make sure that everything is synchronized. You can't modify a GUI-element in any callbacks without synchronization.

RE: Does it support 4 usb dongles on one wince pc?

1. No, BlueTools only support one dongle.

2. I don't know what overtime means in this case...timeout?

3. You can use multiple threads, yes.

4. No, it's Windows only.

There are samples in the SDK for how to use it.

RE: Discovery After form closes

Depends on how you re-open the window. Maybe you are missing some event handlers which are initialized on startup but not when you open the window again?

RE: using bluetooth and comports

It should be possible since GpsGate uses bluetools behind the scenes for just that.
Anything you can do with the full version of BlueTools can be done with the trial version.

RE: Activating BT with Widcomm (Broadcom) stack ??

Ah, you mean like that.
That option has no impact on Widcomm if I remember correctly..
but I thought the stack would start automatically when you initiate the Manager?

No, I don't think there's a limit on how many devices you can have paired.

It should work with both stacks.
What version of Widcomm are you using?

RE: Multi-Threaded example?

Any event that makes changes to your GUI must be synchronized. This is not specific to BlueTools, it's just basic window programming. If not all events make changes to the GUI you can synchronize them yourself by using the Invoke command in the event handler (also not BlueTools specific). Regards, J...
