RE: OnMouseDown Shift value always 0

Sorry, the Shift value is only implemented in the ActiveX version of GpsTools for now. We will look into adding this in future versions of GpsTools.

RE: How to Zoom in .NetCF

Have you tried several shape files? The code you posted works on our end.

Is that code the only change you have made to the ShapeFileViewer sample? A blank map could result if you are moving the view of the Map away from the center of the drawn shape file.

RE: Pan flicker

Flicker is generally caused by too many repaints in too short of a time. Make sure you do not have any extra map1.Update() that is causing the Map to repaint more often than necessary.

RE: Need Help on VoiceChat ?

BlueTools offers a standard .NET Stream so passing bytes for whatever reason (both file transfers and Audio or Video services) is just a matter of knowing the protocol OR if you are writing both the server and client application, just follow the basic guidelines for a common client/server applicatio...

RE: Performance with large no. of single points

The only way to increase performance for rendering shapes is to actually decrease the number of shapes you want to draw.

Maybe not all nodes are as important as others? Several nodes very close to each other will not look very good on a Pocket PC for example.

RE: How to handle Mouse Wheel events on a Map object

Mousewheel events are posted to the control that has the current focus. Since the Map can't really have focus you can't set a mousewheel event on it.

You should set the MouseWheel event on the form holding the Map instead and you will receive the event.

RE: Performance with large no. of single points

As you point out the delay comes from the larger overhead of creating a whole new shape instead of just adding more points (nodes) to one specific shape. Especially on Pocket PC the time it takes to use new is noticeable. To increase performance you could perhaps attempt to possibly allocate enough ...

RE: Johan....need help on ShapeDrawer Ex

Yes but the "Windows Form Designer generated code" only contain information about the various interface controls. Since all you need is the Map, which is already there, you only need to look at the public methods. Just debug and see what code is run when you load a shapefile in the ShapeFileViewer a...

RE: Johan....need help on ShapeDrawer Ex

Just take the code from the ShapeFileViewer sample and put it into the ShapeDrawer sample. The Map used to draw shapes are the same control used to display shapes. (As the ShapeDraw sample just checks where you click and adds the node accordingly and draws them.)

RE: Cant run application standalone

The files in the Windows directory is just like almost every Windows dll-file, it's there to prevent multiple copies being spread all over your system. By having them in the Windows directory all Bluetools applications on the PDA can access them. But if you experience problems like you do, it can be...

RE: Cant run application standalone

Well BlueTools will work with the files only in the application directory. Are you certain that the correct files are put in the application directory. If you look at this thread: http://franson.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=2183 Here the problem was using the DLL-files for BlueTools Desktop on the P...

RE: Cant run application standalone

The most common reason for errors like yours is that you are using the wrong DLLs for your processor. Since it works from outside the debugger I would suggest you see if you have more than one set of BlueTools DLLs on the PDA. Maybe one version that are copied with the deployment to the application ...
