Device Script 'OR' Fails

Hi All, I tried to create a device mapping script in the Site Administrator ... Device Mapper Template ... Scripts section. For some reason, the script could not correctly interpret the JavaScript 'OR' operator (||). Here is the script: var input4 = fields.get('BroomState', 0) var input1 = fields.ge...

Vehicle Name In Column For Driver Log-In

Hi All, We are having a problem getting a Vehicle Name to display with a Driver Name in the Vehicles tab. We are using CalAmp trackers and the iButton value to record a driver log-in. In the driver log-in event we added a Text notification where the Column header is Vehicle Name and the Text while a...

Import Device Instance Overwrites Existing

Hi All, This has happened to me twice recently. I'm hoping someone has a solution. We are using CalAmp devices. I clicked on the Types menu on the Devices tab of the Site Administrator application. I selected CalAmp Generic as my Device Type and then clicked the Import ... button next to the Instanc...

RE: Problem with Tags in events and reports.

Hi All, I am having a similar problem. I am using CalAmp devices that send event codes when the device detects voltage on an input. Depending on the vehicle type, the equipment that is energized is different. I have created tags for different vehicle types and different events for different equipmen...

RE: Calamp PEG scripts

Hi Mike, I've spoken to my boss and my company is willing to provide consulting/training on a time and materials basis. We have about 3 years experience in creating CalAmp scripts using the LMU Manager and have implemented some complex functionality. Please E-mail contact information if you are inte...

Get Application ID From User Name

Hi All, Is there a way using the SOAP API to get the application ID(s) from a user name and password? We are building a server application that will use the SOAP API to generate a report and then use the report statistics to update a fleet management database. Part of the requirement is a configurat...

RE: Calamp PEG scripts

Hi Mike, Have you looked into the LMU Manager GUI? It is available as a free download from the CalAmp Wiki site. It provides a fairly intuitive Windows form that you can use to create events and set registers. We use it extensively. There is a bit of a learning curve, but once you figure things out ...

RE: Wrap Text In A Column

Hi Bjorn, Thank you for the instructions on setting a column width. I have implemented them and it works fine when viewing the report as HTML inside the GpsGate application. However, when I E-mailed an HTML format report, the <div> tag did not work and the text displayed in the E-mail as a long sing...

RE: Idle vs Idling

Hi Peter, We had the same issue as well. We didn't go to the extent of changing terms in our localizations, but we have made the effort with our users to ensure that they are aware of the difference; idling means the vehicle is not moving with the engine on, idle means the vehicle is not moving with...

RE: Driver Login Report

Hi,

In the middle of the blog post there is a set off section that contains the script. It's the only part of the post that has line numbers on the left hand side.

Cheers,
Jay

Wrap Text In A Column

Hi All, Is there a way to fix the width of a column so that in the report, the text will wrap? I tried setting a fixed column width for the column, but the text still prints in a long single line. I looked at the options for the row and the individual field but didn't see any way to get the text to ...

DI1001 Issue

Hi All, I was investigating an issue with the DI1001 report not showing comments added to the job. I made a copy of the report so I could view the query. When I did, I noticed that the CompletedJobs query did not include the Comments field. I added the Comments field to the query and it works like a...

RE: FEATURE: ArcGIS GeoEvent Processor Intergation

Hi Greg,

Thank you for pointing out that the GpsGateConnector configuration page had the wrong name for the Transport. I missed that one. We will update the Transport as you suggest and I will report back if that fixes the input error as well.

Regards,
Jay

RE: GUDIE: Multiple events per event rule and device.

Hi, If I use context.setVariable in an Event Expression script, is it possible to retrieve the value that I set as a report argument? The first time my script runs, I save the current time to the context.state object. For each subsequent time the script runs I calculate the elapsed time between even...

Variable Names

Hi All, We are gradually expanding the vehicle data sent to the server. In reviewing the list of available variables, I found a couple of instances where the same measure seems to be repeated with slightly different names, for example Engine RPM and EngineRPM, Fuel Rate and FuelRate. I have checked ...
