RE: What is the best way to detect data ready?

I thinking "about bluetooth part". The Stream buffer must be filled by something and we need some trigger that say - fire data ready event.

Thanks, I thought if an exception exist it is possibly to check it without catch and before exception thrown.

RE: What is the best way to detect data ready?

Nice to know. What is then data "finish event" for asynchronous read callback? Time between receiving two symbols?

RE: What is the best way to detect data ready?

I means someting other. By sample, we have ReadCallback for async read. So franson know when Read Callback function must be called. I looking for the same possibility but for sync read. I don't know if nested Read Callback possible buf if you imagine nested Read Callback for sync read it could be wh...

What is the best way to detect data ready?

As we can't use asynchronous read I want to know what is best way to wait received data with timeout?
Related question - How franson fill receiver buffer and set stream.Length? From the other side, how can I decide if I received 1x30 bytes or 2x 15bytes? What is the "signal" about read finished?

RE: How To Cancel Async Read?

But it means that I can't use asynchronous read in general because I don't know how to switch asyn/sync read dynamically.
I have some question about synchronous read but I think it would be better to open a new thread.

RE: How To Cancel Async Read?

"Answer timeout?" - yes exact. We sent data to device but device don't answer in 1 sec. Then we try it 2-times again. If always no answer then we make deciding about broken connection. And it is exact our trouble. We couldn’t send anything after timeout. As solution we switched to synchronous read +...

RE: BlueTools .NET 1.21 Service Release (build 848)

Could you tell us, which are software requirements for the end user, please. I mean, for sample:Windows XP, Sp2, MS Stack version bigger/lower as Vx.x.x, widcomm stack Vx.x.x, Windows Vista..., Windows 7.... Could we use information from 11/17/2005 to the actually version? http://franson.com/forum/t...

RE: How To Cancel Async Read?

When I'll try to send data again, I have the error message "Call EndRead after BeginRead" because EndRead wouldn't called because was answer timeout

How To Cancel Async Read?

Problem: I start async read with something like it: remoteService.Stream.BeginRead(readBuffer, 0, readBuffer.Length, new AsyncCallback(ReadCallback), currentStream); Then I wait when callback finished and read the data. Callback function look like: private void ReadCallback(IAsyncResult result) { .....
