Built-in GPS: Massive Memory Leak

I have two HTC Pocket PCs with Windows Mobile 6 with built in GPS units. When I poll data from the Multiplexer port that Windows Mobile offers I have a massive memory leak. When I say massive I mean it - app. 5 MB are used per minute, and after a couple of minutes all available memory is used. I am ...

RE: GpsGate freezes only reset helps

I did try to use TomTom (v3) as navigation out of my software in the meantime. Here the results: I start GpsGate (v1.10d) through the SDK. TomTom Navigation is started through TomTom SDK from my application MobileDispatch). TomTom uses just about 5 MB of RAM. Everything works excellent, GpsGate is a...

RE: GpsGate freezes only reset helps

I did some extensive testing in the meantime. I use the following PDAs: T-Mobile MDA 1 T-Mobile MDA 2 T-Mobile MDA kompakt O2 XDA 3 (all HTC machines, i. o. words Ipaqs with GSM) Scenario: MobileDispatch (my app, www.rbsoft.info) is started. The driver (taxi, ambulance, etc.) receives an order via G...

RE: Speedlimit/GPS-Gate with MDAII & T-Mobile Navigate

I just got a T-Mobile Navigate Bluekit to test. I tried it with an MDA 2 and XDA 3. The BT mouse works fine. The only problem is, that it delivers just one NMEA protocol - GPRMC. Some Software programs might not use that protocol. They use GPGGA etc. That is probably the reason why your Gps tool doe...

RE: Some moving map applications stop working

Try to use less virtual (output) ports. Maybe there is a conflict with that. You need to create just one virtual port, and you can connect all applications to the same port at the same time. (That is different from a physical serial port.) Try to connect one app after the other to find out which one...

RE: Speedlimit/GPS-Gate with MDAII & T-Mobile Navigate

With the German OS check the following:
<Einstellungen> <Übertragen>
If this is checked, then uncheck it.

RE: GpsGate freezes only reset helps

Okay, I tried the v1.10.d-release. No change. It freezes. Scenario: I start my application (MobileDispatch - which is dispatching software for taxi, ambulance, etc.). From this app I start a navigation software (Map&Guide fleet monitor). This works twice or three time okay. But after that Map&Guide ...

GpsGate freezes only reset helps

I am testing a registered standard version of GpsGate v.1.10c on a T-Mobile MDA 2. If GpsGate freezes then there is no way to remove it from memory and get it running again then to reset the machine, since it does not appear in the taskmanager. Since my application has a constant connection via GPRS...
